No. Insight Environmental is strictly a testing and consulting company. We do not
perform any removal, cleanup, or remediation. Our role is to identify environmental
hazards through certified testing and provide you with clear reports to share with
licensed contractors or abatement firms.
If you see visible mold growth, experience musty odors, or have had recent water
damage, a certified mold inspection is strongly recommended. Testing can confirm the
presence, type, and extent of mold — even if it’s hidden behind walls or under flooring
— and provide a scope of work for safe remediation.
Yes. State and federal regulations require asbestos surveys before renovation or
demolition — regardless of the building’s age. Many materials can contain asbestos,
including flooring, insulation, and ceiling texture. Testing ensures compliance with
regulations and protects workers and occupants from exposure.
A “Procedure 5” plan is required under South Coast Air Quality Management District
(SCAQMD) regulations when asbestos-containing materials are damaged, deteriorated,
or friable (able to crumble easily). It outlines how a licensed abatement contractor will
safely remove or clean up the affected materials. Insight Environmental can identify
when a Procedure 5 is needed, but the licensed abatement contractor is responsible for
preparing and submitting the plan.

If your property was built before 1979, it may contain lead-based paint, tile glaze, or
other materials with lead. Testing identifies lead hazards before renovation, demolition,
or repainting and ensures compliance with state and federal safety laws.
Each inspection includes a site visit by a certified inspector, sample collection, and
analysis by an accredited laboratory. You’ll receive a detailed report summarizing
results, identifying any hazards, and outlining next steps or recommendations for
remediation.
Most inspections take one to two hours depending on property size and conditions. Lab
results are typically available within 24–72 hours.
No. Our testing process is safe for occupants and does not release hazardous materials
into the air. While some sampling may involve minor disturbance — such as removing a
small section of material — all procedures follow strict safety protocols to ensure the
environment remains safe during and after testing.
